Wonder View Inn - Bar Harbor Collection

We just ended a 4 night stay at the Wonder View Inn and it far exceeded our expectations. We were traveling with our dog and stayed in a dog friendly room "under the office." This part of the inn was quiet and felt very private. The room was large with plenty of space for our family of 4 and our pup - with good size fridge, microwave and kerig coffee machine. The room was clean, the beds were very comfortable and the views from the large windows and balcony were great. The location was perfect for our children- right below our room was volleyball, Cornhole and a putting green. These activities were enjoyed daily. We hit the trails at Acadia early to avoid crowds and park with ease and ventured back to the Wonderview early afternoon where the kids enjoyed all of the amenities and pool. The Looking Glass restaurant serves up delicious breakfast and lunch. Although they are closed for dinner we were able to bring our own dinner and enjoy full use of the patio, firepit and spectacular views in the evening. We truly LOVED our stay here, from the friendly service to the dog friendly environment, beautiful grounds and thoughtful amenities, we can not wait to return! Thank you to the Wonderview Inn for such an enjoyable experience.

Room was clean. Great location within a 10min walk of shops in Bar Harbor and close drive to park entrance. Staff was verry friendly! If you stay here make sure to check out the views In the Looking Glass. They also had great options for breakfast.

Super cute place to stay that is right outside of town. Has a nice pool (indoor and outdoor) and a good sized souvenir shop on the property. Less than a 5 minute drive to Bar Harbor Village. Only negative is that the room smelled a little stale but it made sense since the Inn is pet friendly. Room desperately needs updated but the beds were comfy and it had nice amenities like the TV and a view of the village and harbor. Would stay here again

We stayed 2 nights and extended another; had experienced two different rooms. Both rooms we stayed were simple but clean. They were also quiet at night. The hotel is within walking distance to Bar Harbor and that was our main form of transportation. Do note there is Island Explorer bus service right on hotel grounds, it is fast and free. You can also rent bikes in Bar Harber and use it to commute since this hotel is on the way to the Carriage Road. Breakfast was not included but you'll receive discount lunch coupons at their restaurant. The front desks were mostly helpful and friendly. Only complaint is no vents in bathrooms, you have to open windows. There was also no hand soap, which I believe is a necessity in modern day hotels. Laundry room does not have coin/bill changers, you have to travel to front desk. Overall, it is a good hotel with great location. We would stay again.

Clean, VERY basic, well cared for property, no frills, affordable (relative to market), good for families. Shares amenities with nicer Bluenose Inn. Depending who was at the indoor/outdoor pool, some guests were more kid friendly than others. Great proximity to downtown Bar Harbor and Acadia. Overall, it was perfect for us.

Nice, clean, and quiet room with a beautiful view. We walked to town every day because it is nice and close. While sitting on our balcony or walking around, we spotted deer and wild turkeys most evenings. We enjoyed the live piano music at the Bluenose later in the evenings. Breakfast at the Looking Glass was not only convenient but delicious, too.

Our stay was great. Great location to Bar Harbor. Our room had the best view of the entire hotel. Room #66. The pianist was talented and wonderful. The indoor pool was clean and our children loved it. Laundry facilities were convenient. Great to be on the shuttle bus stop too. We enjoyed every minute of our stay.

The motel is part of a larger resort with multiple buildings and plenty of amenities. Old style motel feel which I love. Pulling the car up to the door of the room is how it should be. Anyways, the room was clean and the view was incredible. Downtown is walkable and there is a bus service. It would be harder to get this kind of view staying in town.
